Zaman Khan Undergoes Successful Shoulder Surgery

Zaman Khan, a Pakistani fast bowler, has successfully undergone shoulder surgery after suffering an injury during a match in the National T20 Cup in Peshawar.

The injury occurred while he was fielding in the Faisalabad versus Peshawar fixture. During the game, Zaman dislocated the Acromioclavicular Joint (ACJ) in his right shoulder, which required immediate medical attention. In a brief statement, the Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed the nature of the injury, stating that the pacer had sustained a significant shoulder dislocation during the ongoing domestic tournament.

Following the procedure, Zaman Khan shared an update with his fans through social media. In a message posted on Instagram, he confirmed that the surgery had been completed successfully and expressed gratitude to PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, along with the medical team and doctors involved in his treatment. He remained optimistic about his recovery, assuring supporters that he aims to return to action soon.

The timing of the injury is a concern, as it comes just days before the start of a major upcoming tournament scheduled to begin on March 28. Zaman had been retained in the Gold category by his team and was expected to play an important role. However, his participation now remains uncertain due to recovery and rehabilitation requirements.

Zaman Khan made his international debut for Pakistan on March 24, 2023, in a match against Afghanistan national cricket team. Before stepping onto the international stage, he represented Northern in domestic cricket. He was included in their squad for the 2021–22 National T20 Cup and made his T20 debut on September 23, 2021. Since then, he has been regarded as a promising pace bowler with significant potential for Pakistan’s future.
