[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is poised to once again raise the bar for smartphone photography. This flagship device is set to impress with cutting-edge imaging technology and top-of-the-line hardware. The 13 Ultra, unlike its predecessor, the 12S Ultra, will be available worldwide.
The cameras on this phone are the main attraction, and they have impressive specs.
Design and Display
Xiaomi 13 Ultra retains its predecessor’s professional camera-inspired design, with a large circular lens, a metal frame, and a leather-covered back panel (available in Black and Green models). The leather has been treated with antibacterial nanotech silicon, which can inhibit 99% of bacteria. In addition, the upper portion of the rear panel is raised slightly to highlight the camera module.
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra has a 6.73-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels (QHD+) on the front. The screen has a touch sampling rate of up to 240Hz and an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz. With HDR, the screen can achieve a brightness level of up to 2600 nits, according to Xiaomi.
Software and Internals
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra features the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, as well as storage options of 12/256 GB, 16/512 GB, and 16 GB/1 TB with UFS 4.0 memory.
Xiaomi has used its self-developed Loo LiquidCool technology, which employs an aerospace-grade toroidal cooling mechanism and a vapour chamber, to keep the Snapdragon chip running efficiently.
In terms of software, you’ll get Android 13 out of the box, along with Xiaomi’s latest MIUI 14.

Cameras
The primary camera has a 50MP 1-inch IMX989 sensor and an optically stabilised 23mm lens. The sensor bins 1.6m pixels four to one, yielding 12.5MP images with 3.2m individual pixels.
The remaining three cameras on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra use the latest 50MP IMX858 sensor, which measures 1/2.51′′. These cameras include a 75mm f/1.8 OIS 3.2x mid-range zoom, a 5x 120mm camera with a newer, brighter f/3.0 lens, and a 12mm f/1.8 ultrawide camera with autofocus and 5cm macro focusing capabilities.
The device has a 32MP f/2.0 camera on the front with fixed focus and pixel-binning capabilities, resulting in 8MP final shots. The main cameras can record 8K video at 24 frames per second, but the selfie camera is limited to 1080p for some strange reason.
Battery and Price
The Xiaomi 13 Ultra has a 5,000 mAh battery and supports 90W wired charging as well as 50W wireless charging. Xiaomi’s Surge P2 and Surge G1 custom chips manage battery performance and charging functions.
The phone comes in three colours: black, olive green, and white. It will go on sale in China on April 21st, with pre-orders already in place. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra costs $870 (converted) for the 12/256 GB model, $943 for the 16/512 GB model, and $1060 for the 16 GB/1 TB model.
Xiaomi has stated that the phone will be released in several international markets in the upcoming months. International pricing is likely going to be higher.
