New Zealand triumphed with an emphatic 423-run victory over England in the third Test at Hamilton on Tuesday, capping off their series with a resounding win and rising to fourth place in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) standings.
Despite England already clinching the series with victories in the first two Tests, New Zealand delivered a dominant performance in the final match. They dismissed England for just 234 in their second innings, showcasing exceptional bowling and batting throughout the game.
Mitchell Santner played a pivotal role, taking 4/85 in England’s second innings while contributing strongly in other aspects of the match.

Although England’s Jacob Bethell (76) and Joe Root (54) fought valiantly with half-centuries, they were unable to overcome the pressure applied by New Zealand’s disciplined play.

World Test Championship Standings: New Zealand’s victory propelled them to fourth place in the WTC standings, while England dropped to sixth. However, both teams are no longer in contention for the 2025 WTC Final.
