According to the FIR, both drivers—identified as Alisha Amir and Zafar Iqbal—were driving recklessly, trying to overtake each other, which led to the collision. The report stated that Alisha pulled out a pistol and fired shots into the air during the confrontation.

Although Alisha possessed a firearm license, police confirmed it had expired. She was transferred to the Women Police Station, while Zafar Iqbal was sent to the PIB police station for legal proceedings.

Separately, a tragic incident occurred near Malir Halt, where a pregnant woman and her husband were killed after a speeding water tanker ran over their motorcycle as they were heading to the hospital for delivery.
