The Literacy & Non-Formal Basic Education Department in Punjab has announced an extension of winter vacations for Non-Formal Education Institutions (NFEIs) due to the severe cold weather.

According to a notification, these holidays will now last until January 11, 2025, with classes resuming after that. Although rumors suggested an extension for all schools in Punjab, the government clarified that the extension applies only to NFEIs, which are community-based learning centers, and does not impact public or private schools.
