The ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 is generating excitement among fans, with reports suggesting that Indian captain Rohit Sharma may visit Pakistan ahead of the tournament.

This potential visit has thrilled cricket fans, as it would mark the first time in years that an Indian player traveled to Pakistan for an international event amid ongoing tensions between Islamabad and New Delhi. However, the Indian Cricket Board has not officially confirmed details of Rohit’s visit.

The prestigious tournament will run from February 19 to March 9, 2025, with matches hosted in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi. However, all India vs. Pakistan matches will take place in Dubai due to political sensitivities.

The Champions Trophy will feature eight teams split into two groups. Group A includes Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh, while Group B consists of Afghanistan, South Africa, England, and Australia. The highly anticipated Pakistan-India clash is scheduled for February 23 in Dubai.

Under the ICC’s hybrid model for events from 2024–2027, Pakistan will host the Champions Trophy, but India’s games will be held at neutral venues. This arrangement also applies to the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 and the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. Additionally, Pakistan will host the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2028, with neutral venues designated for certain matches.
