Amid soaring heat and rising humidity, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted pre-monsoon rains in several parts of the country, including Punjab, from June 20 to 23.
According to the Met Office, the incoming weather system is expected to bring dust storms, rain, and thunderstorms, with isolated heavy showers and possible hailstorms in some areas.

Moist currents from the Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea are entering the upper and central regions, while a westerly wave is likely to approach northern areas on June 20, triggering unstable weather conditions.
Rain Forecast for Lahore and Punjab
Between June 20 and 23, rain-wind/thunderstorms with chances of heavy falls and hailstorms are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, and surrounding districts.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Weather
Similar rain and thunderstorms are forecast in KP’s upper districts, including Peshawar, Abbottabad, Swat, and Waziristan, among others.
Azad Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Murree, and Galliyat will also likely experience scattered rainfall during this period.
Rain Expected in Balochistan and Sindh
From June 21 to 23, parts of south Punjab and northeast Balochistan—like Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, Zhob, and Kalat—may witness rain and thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, upper Sindh areas like Sukkur, Larkana, and Jacobabad could see similar weather from June 22 to 24.
