[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]WhatsApp has been adding new features to its messaging software at a breakneck pace. Last month alone, several upgrades were made (not including the beta version), which is unusual even for one of Google’s most popular apps. WhatsApp revealed over the weekend that another new feature, Chat Transfer, is now available to Android and iOS users.
The new feature, which was announced on Twitter, allows WhatsApp users to transfer their entire communication history without leaving the app. The tool, however, can only move data across the same operating system, so if you plan to migrate from Android to iOS or vice versa, the new Chat move feature will not work.
If you’re an Android or iOS user who wishes to transition to a different operating system, tools like Move to iOS can help you transfer your WhatsApp chats. The new feature, which was revealed over the weekend, has the same functionality as the previous one, but it allows you to transfer WhatsApp messages without leaving the app, but only between the same operating systems.
To use the new functionality, register a new account on your new phone and select the Chat Transfer option to generate a QR code. Then, simply scan the QR code that came with the old phone and wait for the phones to connect and the data to transfer to the new smartphone.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
