With this feature, users can add their Instagram usernames, generating a clickable link at the top of their chat info page. While Instagram is the first platform to be supported, reports suggest that WhatsApp may extend this functionality to additional social networks in future updates.
To maintain user privacy, WhatsApp has implemented visibility controls, enabling users to decide whether their social media links are visible to everyone or restricted to their contacts. Additionally, users can opt out of adding any links if they prefer to keep their profiles private.
This update is designed to create a seamless transition between digital platforms, allowing users to share their profiles effortlessly without needing to switch between multiple apps.
