WhatsApp Rolls Out New Customization Features, Including Themed Chat Bubbles and Custom Colors

WhatsApp has announced an exciting new update that brings a wide range of customization options, allowing users to personalize their chats like never before. In a recent blog post, the messaging giant confirmed that the update is being rolled out globally and will be available to all users in the coming weeks.

The new features include 30 fresh wallpaper options, many of which come with preset themes that automatically adjust chat bubble and text colors to match the mood of the wallpaper. These changes are aimed at giving users more control over the look and feel of their conversations, making it easier to distinguish important chats at a glance.

Users can either apply a theme across all chats or customize individual conversations to make them more visually distinct. The themes and customization choices are only visible to the user, ensuring a personalized experience without affecting others in the chat. These customizations can also be applied to WhatsApp channels for a consistent look throughout the app.

For those who enjoy more granular control over their chat appearance, WhatsApp now offers manual adjustments, including the ability to set different colors for sent and received chat bubbles, tweak text colors, and even set custom images as wallpapers.

To access these features, once they are available, users can navigate to Settings > Chats > Default Chat Theme to apply changes across all chats. To personalize a specific conversation or channel, they can tap on the chat name or use the triple-dot menu and select Chat Theme from the available options.
