WhatsApp has launched a new shortcut that provides quicker access to Meta AI directly from the Chats tab. This update, available in the latest beta for iOS (version 24.25.10.79), aims to make the feature more accessible and user-friendly. The new shortcut replaces the previous one, which was located at the top of the navigation bar.
The decision to move the shortcut to the Chats tab is designed to enhance accessibility, particularly for users with larger devices. By positioning the shortcut in a more visible area, WhatsApp intends to make it easier for users to access Meta AI without having to reach the top of the screen.

With this new feature, users can experiment with AI-powered functionalities, such as generating personalized images and other creative content. This update reflects a similar design already available on WhatsApp for Android, where the shortcut appears as a floating action button.
Currently, the shortcut is being tested by a select group of users who have installed the latest WhatsApp beta via the TestFlight app. WhatsApp plans to expand the feature to more users in the coming weeks, making it available to a broader audience.
