What new features does WhatsApp’s AR update offer for iPhone users?

WhatsApp is set to enhance its video calling experience with new Augmented Reality (AR) features, now available for both Android and Apple users. The latest beta version for iOS introduces various AR tools, allowing users to customize call effects and filters to adjust their appearance during calls. This includes swipeable filters for changing color tones and adding visual effects, as well as options for backgrounds like beach scenes or blurred effects.

Additionally, the update features a low-light mode to improve video visibility in dim environments and a touch-up mode for real-time skin smoothing and blemish removal. These AR features are currently available to beta testers, with a wider rollout anticipated soon.

With over 2 billion monthly users, WhatsApp has introduced several new features this year, including AI-powered chat suggestions, enhanced privacy controls, improved voice and video call quality, and advanced editing tools. Users now enjoy better multi-device support and expanded in-app payment options, aimed at making messaging more intuitive, secure, and versatile.
