Renowned Pakistani Islamic scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil praised former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who has been imprisoned since August 2023.
In an interview with journalist Irshad Bhatti, the Deoband scholar described Khan as “truthful, honest, and pious,” acknowledging his contributions and the impact he has made even while in jail.

When asked about visiting Imran Khan in Adiyala Jail, Maulana Jamil revealed that he and others were denied permission but expressed his willingness to meet him if allowed by authorities.
Maulana Tariq Jamil had a close relationship with Imran Khan during his tenure as Prime Minister, frequently visiting him at the PM Office and offering personal guidance.
