As of Sunday, the temperature in Islamabad ranged from 9 to 18°C. The capital experienced an improvement in air quality following the showers, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) standing at 119. However, it is noteworthy that the AQI still falls within the category considered unhealthy for sensitive groups.

The broader weather outlook for Pakistan indicates mainly cold and partly cloudy conditions in most parts of the country. However, specific regions are expected to witness rain, wind, and thunderstorms, along with snowfall over hills. These areas include Balochistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, the Photohar region, Kashmir, and adjoining hilly areas. Additionally, isolated heavy falls are anticipated in the northern and southwestern parts of Balochistan during the forecast period.

In response to the current weather system, the Provincial Disasters Management Authority (PDMA) has issued an alert to all district administrations. This alert follows the Meteorological Department’s forecast, indicating the likelihood of another round of rains and snowfall in the upper districts of the province.

This weather update serves as a reminder for residents and authorities to stay informed about the changing weather conditions, take necessary precautions, and respond promptly to any alerts issued by relevant authorities. As meteorological patterns continue to influence the region, vigilance and preparedness become crucial components of effective response strategies.
