The Met Department’s weather forecast indicates that intense heat will persist in the southern districts of the country. However, some regions in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pothohar, and northeast Punjab may see rainfall.
The department has warned of a severe heatwave in the southern districts of Punjab, as well as in most areas of Balochistan and Sindh. Residents are advised to take precautions against heat-related illnesses and stay hydrated.

In contrast, rainfall is expected in parts of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, specifically in Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Swat, Chitral, Dir, Abbottabad, Haripur, and Mansehra.
Most districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will continue to experience extremely hot weather. Islamabad is forecasted to have hot weather during the day, with potential rain in the evening.
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) issued a strong advisory for June, warning residents of Sindh and Punjab to prepare for an extreme heatwave. Scorching temperatures are expected in Umarkot, Tharparkar, Tando Allahyar, Matiari, and Sanghar in Sindh, and Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalpur in Punjab.
