Waterloo Station, Britain’s busiest railway hub, was evacuated early Wednesday morning following a fire alarm, leading to significant disruption for commuters. Social media posts showed the station’s entrances sealed off with metal gates, displaying signs warning “Emergency: Do not enter.”
Passengers were instructed via announcements to leave the station immediately, and all Underground services stopping at Waterloo were temporarily suspended. Many commuters had to reroute through nearby stations like Charing Cross and Waterloo East.
