Wajdhan Rao, From 'Bado Badi', Accuses Chahat Fateh Ali Khan Of Underpaying And Harassing

Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, a Pakistani singer known for humorous clips and unique singing style, gained attention with his rendition of Noor Jehan’s classic “Bado Badi.” Released in April 2024, the song amassed 26 million views in a month, surpassing Zafar Ali’s “Balo Batian.”

Wajdhan Rao, featured in the song, accuses Khan of underpaying her. She disclosed that while Khan earned Rs7 million from the viral track, she was only paid Rs4,000.

Additionally, Rao alleges harassment, claiming an objectionable photo of her was maliciously included in the video to deter her from seeking fair compensation.

She urged the public to support her cause, warning that Chahat Ali would bear responsibility for any harm to her or her family. Chahat, originally named Kashif Rana from Lahore, rose to fame in Pakistan through viral social media content, notably his anthem for the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL8).

Apart from engaging in live Facebook sessions, Chahat has been active on various social media platforms during the lockdown. His popularity has led to invitations to perform at wedding functions. Some of his popular songs include “Mast Mast Sharabi,” “Tun Tuna Tun,” and “Pehli Wari Aj Ohno.”
