Wahab Riaz appointed caretaker Govts’ sports minister.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Wahab Riaz, veteran bowler for Pakistan, has been appointed Punjab’s caretaker government’s minister of sports. Wahab, who is currently playing for Khulna Tigers in the current BPL season, will take over as the largest province’s sports minister in due time. The left-arm bowler has taken 237 wickets for Pakistan in 156 international games across all forms.

Notably, the 37-year-old bowler was a member of the group that won the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy. Following the selection of Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi for the caretaker administration in Punjab, the 11-person cabinet’s names were confirmed. At 9 p.m. tonight, the Caretaker Cabinet of Punjab will take the oath. From the provincial cabinet, Governor of Punjab Balighur Rehman will give the oath.
