Vivo Y300i Launched in China with Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 and 6,500mAh Battery
Vivo has officially launched the Y300i in China following multiple teasers and a listing on the China Telecom website. The smartphone features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, a massive battery, and an affordable price tag, making it a strong contender in the budget segment.
Design & Display
The Vivo Y300i sports a flat-frame design with a dual-camera setup on the back and a center punch-hole selfie camera. Available in Black, Titanium, and Blue, the phone offers a 6.68-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals.

While the lack of Full HD resolution may be a drawback, the high refresh rate enhances the user experience, particularly for scrolling and gaming.
Performance & Software
At its core, the Vivo Y300i is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, built on an efficient 6nm process. It is available with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB and 512GB. However, there’s no microSD card slot, so storage expansion isn’t an option.
The device runs on Android 15 with OriginOS 5 in China, featuring a range of software customizations. The global variant is expected to come with Funtouch OS instead.
Camera Setup
For photography, the Vivo Y300i features a 50MP primary camera (f/1.8, PDAF). The secondary camera details remain unspecified, but it could likely be a 2MP depth sensor.
On the front, there’s a 5MP selfie camera, positioned within the punch-hole cutout. While the camera setup is basic, it should be sufficient for everyday photography and video calls.
Battery & Charging
A major highlight of the Vivo Y300i is its massive 6,500mAh battery, significantly larger than most competitors in the budget segment. The device supports 44W wired fast charging, though wireless charging is not available.
Pricing & Availability
The Vivo Y300i is priced at CNY 1,499 (~$205), making it an affordable yet feature-packed device. Sales in China are set to begin on March 14.
