Virat Kohli Breaks Into Top 5 as India Dominates ODI Rankings

India continues to reign supreme in the ICC ODI rankings, with Virat Kohli’s match-winning century against Pakistan solidifying his place in the top five of the ICC Men’s Player Rankings for batters. Kohli’s 51st ODI century during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai has propelled him to fifth in the latest rankings update, reaffirming India’s dominance in the batting charts.

Kohli’s unbeaten century not only led India to a crucial win over their fierce rivals but also earned him a notable rise in the rankings. His return to the top five means India now boasts three batters in the top five, with Shubman Gill leading at No. 1 and captain Rohit Sharma holding steady at third. Gill widened his lead at the top by 47 rating points, while Pakistan’s Babar Azam remains second despite his recent struggles in the tournament.
