British designer Victoria Beckham presented her latest spring-summer collection at Paris Fashion Week on Friday. The show was held at the historic 17th-century Val-de-Grace abbey, giving the event a unique and elegant atmosphere.
Guests arrived after dark, crossing rain-slicked cobblestones to reach the cloisters. Models walked the runway under the abbey’s arched corridors, wearing sharp-toed shoes paired with asymmetric dresses featuring uneven hems. Some fabrics were gathered or dusted with spray paint, adding texture to the designs.
The collection included slip dresses, roomy suits, and soft leather jackets with crinkled edges. Trousers were low-waisted and cinched with thin belts, often paired with tops slit open in the front. Boxy suit jackets without lapels gave the lineup a modern and relaxed feel.
Accessories completed the looks, featuring a variety of handbags. These included a roomy duffle bag, a structured camera bag, and one designed like an accordion. Each bag emphasized the balance between practicality and high-fashion style.
In her show notes, Victoria Beckham described the collection as an “abstract adaptation of the coming-of-age wardrobe.” She explained that she drew inspiration from photos of herself as a young adult, reflecting a personal and nostalgic theme.
Paris Fashion Week, running through October 7, has attracted major fashion houses including Louis Vuitton, Dior, Chanel, Saint Laurent, and Hermes. This season has seen a record number of designer debuts, as brands aim to innovate and engage shoppers amid economic concerns.
Victoria Beckham’s presentation highlighted creativity and wearability, offering pieces that blend classic tailoring with youthful experimentation. The collection has been praised for its artistic approach and attention to detail, marking another significant moment for her fashion label.
