The verdict in the £190 million case against former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi has been delayed yet again. The decision, which was initially scheduled for announcement tomorrow by Accountability Court Judge Nasir Javed Rana, remains pending.
The court had reserved its judgment on December 18, with an initial announcement date of December 23, later rescheduled to January 6. However, the latest postponement means the decision will not be announced as planned. Lawyers will be informed of a new date tomorrow.

This case, filed by NAB in December 2023, revolves around an alleged settlement between the PTI government and a property tycoon, resulting in a loss of £190 million to Pakistan’s exchequer. Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi are accused of misusing funds sent by the UK’s National Crime Agency, with Bushra specifically implicated for her involvement in the Al-Qadir Trust. The couple is also alleged to have received benefits, including land for Al-Qadir University.
During Khan’s tenure, the NCA seized £190 million in assets, but the details of the confidential settlement were not disclosed. The case remains a focal point of public and legal scrutiny as the verdict faces continued delays.
