After dismissing English batter Jason Roy in their PSL 8 game against Quetta, the leg spinner was seen signalling something with his fingers.
PSL 2023: Usman Qadir explains the significance of the unique celebration
According to the leg spinner, he wrote “AQ” with his fingers as a tribute to his late father, legendary leg spinner Abdul Qadir.
He stated that he did not intend to hold this celebration, but it came to him unexpectedly and he decided to honour his father.
The leg spinner bowled an excellent spell against Quetta, assisting his team to victory. Qadir took two wickets and allowed only 26 runs in four overs.
