Users Will Be Able to Change Colour Schemes in Artwork Using a New Adobe Illustrator AI Tool

Share

The AI tool known as ‘Generative Recolor’ simplifies the colouring process and colour scheme selections by eliminating the need to choose and colour each individual object in an illustration.

Colour is an essential component of any design, but choosing a colour scheme for your artwork can be challenging at times, especially when you have to individually select each section of the illustration and fill it with a colour of your choice.

Adobe recognises this issue, which is why it has launched a new AI tool called “Generative Recolor.” The programme fills the artwork with colours depending on text input from the user, simplifying the colouring and colour scheme selection procedure.

Users who are making an illustration can simply write in prompts like “noon in the desert” or “midnight in the jungle” to describe the look and feel they desire for their creation. The cue will then be used by Generative Recolor to design a colour scheme and fill in the artwork.

Adobe claims that the Generative Recolor tool simplifies jobs like advertising, marketing graphics, digital drawings, and illustrations because users will no longer have to manually try out a number of different colour schemes before settling on one; instead, they will have the freedom to create an infinite number of colour combinations for their illustrations.

“Previously, brands manually created colour variations every time they developed new packaging, rethought logo colour options before a rebrand, or redesigned their websites; now, with Firefly-powered assistance, designers will be able to dramatically accelerate time-consuming colour processes, freeing their time for more creative and less tedious tasks,” Adobe says of its new feature.

Generative Recolor is just one of the many great capabilities included in the current Adobe Illustrator update; the platform now also includes Retype (beta), additional Layers functionalities, and Image Tracing improvements.
