US Urges Dialogue As Rubio Holds Talks With Pakistan’s Top Leaders

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio engaged in back-to-back phone conversations with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar on Saturday, as tensions between Pakistan and India continue to rise.

According to statements from both the U.S. State Department and Pakistan’s Foreign Office, Rubio stressed the urgent need for both countries to pursue diplomatic avenues and avoid further escalation. He reaffirmed Washington’s readiness to facilitate constructive dialogue to help stabilize the situation.

The phone calls reflect heightened international diplomatic activity aimed at preventing a broader conflict in South Asia, as security alerts remain elevated on both sides of the border.
