Following his recent trip to Pakistan, US Congressman Jack Bergman has reiterated his call for the release of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Sharing an update on platform X, Bergman emphasized his continued support for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader’s release after engaging with Pakistani officials and communities both in Pakistan and the US.

He underlined that democratic values and human rights are essential to a strong US-Pakistan relationship. “After engaging with leaders and communities in both countries, I renew my call for Imran Khan’s release,” he posted. “Our partnership must be rooted in democracy, rights, and prosperity. Together, we can promote freedom and stability.”
Bergman led a bipartisan US delegation to the Pakistan Mineral Investment Forum 25 (PMIF25), joined by Congressmen Thomas Suozzi and Jonathan Jackson. The group described their visit as impactful and forward-looking.
During the visit, they held discussions with key figures including Army Chief General Asim Munir and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, covering topics such as economic collaboration and security.
Bergman’s renewed advocacy reflects his broader stance on prioritizing democracy and human rights in US foreign policy and fostering stronger bilateral ties.
