The National Emergencies Operation Center (NEOC) has issued a warning about the risk of urban flooding in parts of Pakistan over the next 48 hours due to anticipated heavy rainfall. Southern Sindh districts such as Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Sujawal, Badin, and Mirpurkhas face increased danger, while northeastern Punjab and the Potohar region—including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Sialkot, Gujrat, and Gujranwala—are also at risk, particularly in low-lying urban zones.

Authorities have been urged to stay vigilant, ensure efficient water drainage, and deploy emergency teams where needed. Citizens are advised to monitor weather updates, avoid travel during downpours, and take safety precautions to safeguard lives and property.
