Qualcomm is set to unveil its latest flagship processor, the Snapdragon 8 Elite, on Monday, previously known as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. The excitement surrounding this announcement is fueled by impressive early benchmark scores that have surfaced prior to the official reveal.
A leaked benchmark score from a prototype device, the Realme GT7 Pro, has made headlines by achieving a remarkable score of 3,025,991 points on the AnTuTu benchmark platform, establishing a new record in mobile processing performance. This score far exceeds those of its competitors; for comparison, Apple’s A18 Pro typically scores around 1.65 million points, while MediaTek’s recently launched Dimensity 9400 chipset reaches approximately 2.8 million points, clearly falling short of the Snapdragon 8 Elite’s capabilities.

Rumors indicate that Qualcomm will offer two versions of the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The base model is expected to feature two high-performance cores clocked at up to 4.09 GHz, alongside six efficiency cores running at 2.78 GHz. For users seeking enhanced performance, a premium variant is rumored to push the high-performance cores to 4.32 GHz.
Both versions of the chipset are anticipated to include the Adreno 830 GPU, utilizing TSMC’s state-of-the-art 3nm manufacturing process, which could significantly enhance efficiency and overall performance.
In addition to its impressive AnTuTu scores, the Snapdragon 8 Elite has reportedly excelled in Geekbench tests, suggesting that Qualcomm’s latest offering may represent a significant advancement in mobile processing power.
The Xiaomi 15 and Honor Magic 7 are expected to be the first smartphones to incorporate the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, with other Chinese manufacturers likely to follow suit shortly after.
