The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced that it will not permit the use of its airspace for any potential U.S. military operations targeting Iran. The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that its territory will not be available for military actions or logistical support related to attacks on Iran.

In its statement, the ministry emphasized the UAE’s commitment to peaceful conflict resolution and stressed the importance of diplomacy, dialogue, and adherence to international law. The decision underscores the country’s focus on maintaining regional stability and pursuing non-military solutions to ongoing tensions.

This announcement follows a similar stance taken by Saudi Arabia, which assured Tehran that it would not participate in any U.S.-led military action against Iran. Saudi officials confirmed that American forces would not be allowed to operate from their territory or airspace for such operations. Both the UAE and Saudi Arabia have repeatedly expressed a preference for resolving regional disputes through negotiations rather than military confrontations, highlighting their shared interest in avoiding escalation.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Navy’s USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group has been deployed to the Indian Ocean, moving closer to areas where it could support possible military action against Iran, according to sources cited by CNN. The carrier strike group operates under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Central Command, which manages military activities across the Middle East.

Although the carrier group is now within the operational zone, it is not positioned for immediate action. President Donald Trump continues to evaluate various options for potential strikes, but no final decision has been taken.

A standard carrier strike group includes an aircraft carrier, guided missile cruisers, anti-aircraft vessels, and anti-submarine destroyers or frigates, providing the U.S. with a versatile and mobile military capability.

The UAE’s announcement, along with Saudi Arabia’s similar position, signals the region’s preference for diplomatic solutions while maintaining vigilance amid rising tensions and the potential for military escalation.
