The United Arab Emirates has intensified its humanitarian mission to Gaza, dispatching its eighth aid vessel under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, WAM reported. The ship, named Khalifa, began loading at Abu Dhabi’s Khalifa Port earlier this week and will carry 7,166 tons of essential food, medical, and shelter supplies — making it the UAE’s largest sea-based relief mission to Gaza so far.
The shipment includes 4,372 tons of food, 1,433 tons of shelter materials, 860 tons of medical aid, and 501 tons of health-related items. Once fully loaded, the vessel will head to Egypt’s El Arish Port, where its cargo will be transported overland into Gaza through established humanitarian corridors.
This mission is part of the UAE’s broader relief strategy, which utilizes sea, air, and land routes to ensure the steady delivery of aid. Since launching Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 in November 2023, the UAE has provided tens of thousands of tons of assistance to Gaza, reflecting its sustained commitment to humanitarian support amid the ongoing crisis.
