UAE, Bahrain Send 100 Tons Aid to Gaza Before Ramadan

In a joint humanitarian mission, the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain dispatched a 100-ton relief shipment to the Gaza Strip ahead of Ramadan, aiming to ease suffering among families facing severe shortages of food, medicine, and essential supplies amid continuing hardships.

According to WAM, the aid was organized under “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3” in cooperation with the Emirates Red Crescent and the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, reflecting coordinated Gulf relief efforts designed to deliver urgent assistance before the holy month begins.

The shipment was flown to Al-Arish Airport in Egypt and is scheduled to enter Gaza through the Rafah Border Crossing, a key humanitarian entry route frequently used for aid convoys transporting critical relief materials to Palestinian civilians.

The initiative was launched following directives from King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and guidance from Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who emphasized the importance of rapid humanitarian response and regional solidarity in supporting vulnerable communities facing escalating humanitarian pressures.

Acting Secretary-General Ibrahim Dalhan Al Doseri said the shipment includes hygiene kits for women and children, staple foods, medicines, and essential medical equipment, adding that providing aid before Ramadan highlights Bahrain’s dedication to compassion, relief work, and standing beside Palestinians during times of crisis.

Officials stressed that the mission continues Bahrain’s longstanding tradition of humanitarian assistance for Palestinians and demonstrates a unified regional commitment to easing hardship, strengthening relief networks, and ensuring essential resources reach those most in need despite ongoing logistical and humanitarian challenges.
