Schools across the United Arab Emirates are set to observe midterm holidays for the first semester of the 2025–26 academic year. The break will begin on October 13 and continue until October 17, with classes resuming on Monday, October 20.
According to a circular issued by school authorities, teachers and administrative staff will participate in professional development sessions from October 13 to 15, followed by leave from October 16 to 19.
The holidays will apply to all public and private schools operating under the Ministry of Education curriculum. During this period, students will take a full academic break, providing time for rest and preparation for the next phase of the semester.
Schools will reopen after the week-long pause, returning to the regular timetable and resuming normal academic activities from October 20 onwards.
