Mike Tyson expressed his readiness for his upcoming fight against Jake Paul, scheduled for November 15, during a joint press conference in New York City on Sunday. The bout, initially planned for July 20, was postponed due to an ulcer flare-up that required Tyson to rest.
Tyson, a former world heavyweight champion with a record of 50 wins, 6 losses, and 44 knockouts, last fought professionally in 2005. When asked about his return to boxing after such a long hiatus, Tyson responded confidently, “Because I can. Who else can do it but me? We have a YouTuber facing the greatest fighter who ever lived.”

He warned that while Jake Paul may have fought opponents with similar intentions before, the reality of facing him will be different. Tyson predicted, “As soon as I catch this guy, it will be over. He’s going to run like a thief.”
Jake Paul, who was met with boos from the crowd, claimed he would knock Tyson out, stating, “I’m here to make $40 million and knock out a legend.” Paul, 27 years old and 31 years younger than Tyson, has a 10-1 boxing record. He mentioned that his friendship with Tyson would be on hold until after the fight.
The match will be broadcast live on Netflix and held at the 80,000-seat AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, home of the Dallas Cowboys.
