Gunmen Attack Police Station in Swabi; Two Officers Injured, Firefight Ongoing
Swabi / Kalat – Gunmen launched a violent attack on the Utla Police Station in Swabi on Thursday, injuring two police officers, according to Station House Officer (SHO) Utla.
Police forces returned fire immediately, and additional personnel have been deployed to the scene, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) confirmed. A heavy exchange of gunfire between law enforcement and the attackers was still ongoing at the time of reporting.

Levies Officer Killed in Coordinated Assault in Kalat’s Mangchar Area
In a separate incident, a Levies officer was martyred as unidentified armed assailants carried out coordinated attacks across the Mangchar area of Kalat district, Balochistan, throughout Friday. The incident involved heavy gunfire and multiple explosions, disrupting daily life and traffic on the Quetta-Karachi National Highway.
Levies sources reported that one attack targeted a Levies post in Kot Langove, where an officer was fatally shot. The body was transferred to the Rural Health Centre (RHC) in Mangchar for post-mortem.
Simultaneously, a powerful explosion struck beneath a bridge in Rahimabad, Mangchar. Officials confirmed minor structural damage but reported no casualties in the blast.
