Two Dead and 18 Injured in Southern California Plane Crash

A tragic plane crash on Thursday, January 2, 2025, claimed the lives of two individuals and left 18 others injured when a small aircraft collided with a furniture manufacturing warehouse in Southern California. The incident occurred in the 2300 block of Raymer Ave, approximately 6 miles northwest of Disneyland.

The plane, identified as a Van’s RV-10, had been returning to the airport when it struck the building, sparking a fire. The crash resulted in two fatalities, while ten people were taken to nearby hospitals and eight others received treatment on-site. The identities of the deceased have not been confirmed, nor is it clear whether they were in the plane or on the ground.

The aircraft took off at 2:07 p.m. and crashed just two minutes later, about 300 yards from the airport runway. Firefighters battled a four-alarm blaze as smoke poured from the warehouse, prompting the evacuation of nearby businesses. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
