A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Gujranwala where two children died after allegedly consuming toxic fast food. The tragedy also left several others, including children, hospitalized, prompting serious concerns over food safety standards in the city.
Initial reports reveal that Naveed, a police officer, brought burgers from a local eatery. Shortly after the meal, his children began suffering from severe health complications. One of them, Jannat, passed away during treatment, while three other children are still under medical supervision.

In response, the Gujranwala Food Authority (GFA) swiftly sealed the fast-food outlet and collected food samples for forensic testing. DG Asim Javed assured that a thorough investigation is underway and warned of strict action against those responsible for negligence.
The incident has sparked widespread public anger and renewed demands for stricter enforcement of hygiene protocols at eateries. The authorities are currently awaiting forensic results to confirm the cause of contamination, while the outlet remains closed pending investigation.
