Three people, including two brothers and a nephew, were killed in a drive-by shooting in Faisalabad on Tuesday. The attack is believed to be linked to an ongoing family feud, with one of the deceased reportedly involved in a previous murder.
The incident occurred in the Painsara area when Farooq (also known as Biga) was traveling in a car with his two brothers, Shahbaz and Shehzad, and his nephew Ashar. Unknown assailants opened fire on the moving vehicle. Shahbaz, Shehzad, and Ashar were killed instantly, while Farooq and another passenger, Shafiq, were severely injured.

The victims were from the 83-JB Gallan area, near the Thikriwala police station. Police believe the shooting may be connected to a murder that took place last November, where Zahidi Gujjar, a brother of one of the victims, was killed. Investigators are gathering evidence from the scene and questioning witnesses as part of their investigation. No arrests have been made yet.
In a separate incident, Fatima, a 25-year-old woman, was shot dead outside a private hospital in Kharadar, Baghdadi. Fatima, who had been married twice, was allegedly targeted by her former brother-in-law, Arbaaz.
Fatima had been in a dispute with her first husband’s family after remarrying. It was reported that Fatima’s brothers had previously killed her first husband over a dispute, leading to the breakup. Abdul Hafeez, a relative and a security guard at the hospital, allegedly harassed Fatima. She had come to the hospital on December 8 to file a complaint against him. Afterward, Hafeez informed Arbaaz about her presence, leading to the tragic shooting as Fatima was leaving the hospital.
Both incidents are under investigation, and police are working to determine the motives behind the attacks.
