Two earthquakes jolted the remote, mountainous region of Balochistan in the early hours of the morning, injuring at least four people and damaging several homes. The first tremor struck around 3:24 AM with a magnitude of 5.5, waking residents in Barkhan, Musa Khel, and nearby districts. A second quake followed at 7:30 AM, registering a magnitude of 4.8.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department reported that the first quake occurred at a depth of 28 kilometers, while the second had its epicenter 56 kilometers northeast of Musa Khel. While no fatalities have been confirmed, the tremors caused structural damage, particularly in rural and hard-to-reach areas. Rescue operations are underway, although the rough terrain and poor infrastructure may delay timely relief.
