U.S. President Donald Trump has warned of a potential “big one” as American bombers prepare for possible operations against Iran. Reports suggest some of the most powerful non-nuclear weapons could be used in the region.
The U.S. is reportedly positioning stealth bombers, including B-1s, B-2s, and B-52s, at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire and Diego Garcia in the Chagos Islands. London has approved the use of these bases for U.S. forces amid rising tensions. These aircraft can carry highly destructive payloads while remaining difficult to detect.
Experts say the United States could deploy the GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB), commonly known as the “mother of all bombs.” This 21,000-pound conventional explosive is capable of destroying bunkers, missile launch sites, and underground tunnels. The blast can create a crater about 1,000 feet wide.
While President Trump referred to the potential operation as a “big one,” U.S. officials have not confirmed whether the mother of all bombs will be used. Analysts say its deployment would be among the most significant conventional strikes ever.
The warning comes shortly after U.S. and Israeli strikes reportedly killed Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. President Trump emphasized that these actions are only the beginning, stating, “The big wave has not even happened.”
The conflict has drawn the attention of multiple nations. Israel and other U.S. allies are closely monitoring the situation. The possible use of the mother of all bombs highlights the growing risk of large-scale destruction in the ongoing Iran conflict.
