Former US President Donald Trump has pledged American support to help end the ongoing war in Sudan after receiving a direct request from Saudi Arabia.
He said the Kingdom wants a swift resolution to the conflict to prevent further regional instability.
Trump noted that Saudi leaders expressed deep concern over the worsening humanitarian crisis in Sudan.
According to him, they urged Washington to play a stronger diplomatic role.
He added that the US is ready to engage with all sides in the Sudan conflict.
Trump emphasized that peace efforts must prioritize civilian protection and long-term stability.
The former president also highlighted the importance of US-Saudi cooperation in regional security.
He said both countries share an interest in preventing the Sudan situation from escalating.
Trump further stated that Washington would coordinate with international partners to push for a ceasefire.
He reiterated that ending the war is essential for restoring normalcy in the region.
He concluded by saying the US will explore every possible diplomatic channel.
He stressed that a peaceful, negotiated settlement remains the top priority.
