Trump Orders Nuclear Submarines Deployed To Counter Russian Threat

United States President Donald Trump has ordered the repositioning of two nuclear submarines. This move comes after recent warnings from former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev. Trump’s decision aims to send a strong message amid rising tensions.

On Friday, Trump shared on his social media platform that the submarines were moved to deter “highly provocative statements” made by Medvedev. Trump said this action was a precaution if the threats became more serious.

Medvedev, now deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council, recently mentioned the Cold War-era Soviet nuclear system called the “Dead Hand.” This statement was seen as a subtle nuclear threat toward the United States.

Trump emphasized the importance of careful words and expressed hope that no unintended consequences would occur. This development marks a notable increase in the ongoing tense exchange between Trump and Russian leaders.

The conflict began earlier this month when Trump criticized Medvedev’s aggressive remarks. Medvedev warned that issuing ultimatums risks escalating a war, not only with Ukraine but potentially within the US itself.

Trump has since warned of new economic sanctions against Russia if its military actions do not stop. He recently gave Russia “10 or 12 days” to cease its operations or face harsh penalties.

Relations between Trump and Moscow have become more strained. Once more friendly towards Vladimir Putin, Trump has now openly condemned Russia’s recent military moves. He called the attacks on Kyiv “disgusting.”

The exchange of nuclear threats has raised concern worldwide. Medvedev’s mention of the “Dead Hand” highlights Russia’s nuclear readiness. While no direct conflict is expected, Trump’s submarine orders are seen as a clear warning.

Neither the US nor Russian defense ministries have confirmed the submarine movements. Experts say this step is likely symbolic to maintain US military deterrence.
