US President Donald Trump claimed that Pakistan shot down seven Indian fighter jets during a past conflict between the two countries.
Speaking to generals and admirals at Quantico, Trump opened with a light-hearted comment about the unusually quiet atmosphere, joking that anyone unhappy with his speech could leave—though it might cost them their career, a remark that drew laughter.
He went on to highlight that Israel, along with Arab and Muslim leaders, had already endorsed his proposed 20-point Middle East peace plan. Trump described it as a “historic settlement” that could resolve a dispute “3,000 years in the making.”
Warning Hamas to accept the plan or face severe consequences, he pledged full U.S. backing for Israel if hostilities continued. Trump also noted that the U.S. is modernizing its nuclear arsenal, while expressing hope it would never need to be used.
Calling the regional consensus on the peace plan “remarkable,” Trump said the next move rests with Hamas.
