Trump Claims Russia and China Have Secretly Conducted Nuclear Weapons Tests

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has alleged that Russia and China have secretly tested nuclear weapons, sparking renewed concerns over global security and arms control. Speaking at a political rally, Trump claimed both nations are “violating nuclear test bans” while the United States remains restrained.

Trump accused the Biden administration of being “weak” on defense and warned that America’s rivals are advancing their nuclear capabilities unchecked. His remarks come amid growing tensions between Washington, Moscow, and Beijing over military buildups and strategic competition.

According to Trump, these supposed secret tests have taken place “in remote sites” and have gone largely unnoticed by international agencies. However, no independent verification or official confirmation has supported his claims so far.

Experts say that while both Russia and China have modernized their nuclear arsenals, evidence of recent testing remains unclear. The Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) prohibits all nuclear explosions, but it has yet to be fully ratified by major powers, including the United States.

White House officials declined to comment directly on Trump’s statements but reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to non-proliferation and maintaining strategic stability through diplomacy.

Trump’s allegations come as global attention focuses on rising nuclear risks, particularly following Russia’s withdrawal from several arms control agreements and China’s rapid expansion of its missile forces.
