Tropical Storm Koto Leaves at Least Three Dead in Vietnam

Tropical Storm Koto has claimed at least three lives in Vietnam as it swept across coastal and northern regions with powerful winds and heavy rainfall.

Authorities reported that the victims were caught in flash floods and landslides triggered by the storm’s intense downpour.

Rescue teams have been deployed to affected provinces, where dozens of homes have been damaged and several roads remain blocked by debris.

Local officials warned that overflowing rivers pose a continued threat, urging residents in vulnerable areas to move to higher ground.

The storm also disrupted power supplies in multiple districts, leaving thousands without electricity as crews work to restore essential services.

Vietnam’s weather agency says Koto is weakening but cautions that more rain is expected, which could worsen flooding in already saturated regions.
