Tragically, six children and three women were unable to escape the fire, except for one survivor who jumped from the building.
Rescue officials have determined that the fire originated from an explosion in the compressor of the refrigerator. Insufficient ventilation aggravated the situation by trapping the smoke inside the house.
The victims who have been identified so far include Adil Hussain, Saira Bano, Farzana, Amber, Ghazal, Fatima, and a seven-month-old baby. Efforts are underway to identify the remaining victims.
