Traffic in Karachi came to a standstill as protests organized by the religious party caused severe disruptions throughout the city. Despite prior announcements, the traffic police were unable to manage the flow of vehicles, leading to gridlocks on major roads like Sharea Faisal, MA Jinnah Road, and University Road. Long queues of cars formed on key arteries, making it difficult for citizens to reach their destinations, including passengers heading to the airport.
The protests, which included sit-ins on both tracks of Sharea Faisal Kala Chapra, Main National Highway, and other important locations, further compounded the congestion. The demonstrations were organized in solidarity with the people of Parachinar, and central leader of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM), Allama Hassan Zafer Naqvi, addressed the situation during a press conference at Numaish Chowrangi. He condemned the statements made by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, particularly his comments about the Parachinar issue, calling them “laughable” and urging continued peaceful protests.

Naqvi also strongly criticized the ongoing situation in Parachinar, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, expressing outrage over the violence and demanding action against those responsible for the massacre, looting, and other excesses in the region. His comments resonated with the protesters, who continued their demonstrations across the country.
