As temperatures continue to climb this summer, Murree is grappling with an acute water crisis, leaving residents struggling to access clean water. Several neighborhoods are facing severe supply cuts, with some areas receiving little to no water at all.

Frustrated by the worsening situation, residents have appealed to the Deputy Commissioner to take immediate action to restore a regular water supply. They are also urging strict measures against those reportedly exploiting the shortage for personal gain.
Women from multiple affected areas—including Sadiq Chowk, Lower Bazaar, Jamia Masjid Road, Munshi Mohalla, Shawala, Haji Gali, Sunny Bank, Motor Agency, and Kart Road—voiced their grievances, stating that water is available only once a day, and even then, for just a few minutes after 3 PM.
