Over the weekend, Murree and the surrounding Galiyat region saw a significant surge in tourists, with families and young travelers setting up camps and filling popular spots such as Mall Road, Kashmir Point, Pindi Point, Patriata, Bhurban, and Ayubia.

During the day, tourists enjoy the cool climate, taking in the breathtaking views at Bhurban, Patriata Resort, Nathia Gali, and nearby hills while capturing memorable moments. As evening falls, crowds return to Mall Road for shopping, leisurely walks, and the vibrant atmosphere.

The tourism boom is providing a much-needed boost to the local economy, with hotels, restaurants, and vendors experiencing a surge in business. However, longstanding issues persist, including severe parking shortages, crippling water scarcity, lack of a proper water management plan, frequent unannounced power cuts, and rising temperatures due to unchecked deforestation.

Despite these challenges, Murree remains a top summer getaway, drawing visitors eager to experience its natural beauty and refreshing climate.
