Pakistan’s significant loss to India by 228 runs has impacted their run rate, but the top-ranked team remains confident.

Despite rain forecasts and some uncertainty about the pitch conditions, Pakistan revealed their playing XI ahead of the match. They made three changes, with two being necessitated. Mohammad Haris replaces the out-of-form Fakhar Zaman and will open alongside Imam-ul-Haq. Injured pacers Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf are substituted by Mohammad Wasim Jr. and Zaman Khan. Captain Babar Azam, vice-captain Mohammad Rizwan, and star pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi will shoulder more responsibility. Babar hasn’t been in form since his record-breaking performance in the first match against Nepal, and Rizwan is yet to find his groove.
