TLP Offices and Madrassas Sealed in Islamabad During Crackdown

Federal authorities have launched a large-scale crackdown on Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), sealing multiple offices, mosques, and madrassas across Islamabad.

According to official sources, the group’s central office on Murree Road near Athal Chowk has been shut down as part of the federal campaign to regulate unregistered religious and political institutions.

In Bhara Kahu, several TLP-linked sites were also sealed, including the Madina Town office on Dam Road, Jamia Mosque and Madrasa Anwar-e-Madina in Nai Abad, and the Jamia Mosque in Mohalla Tekri. Additional enforcement actions targeted the UC-level office in Shahpur, the Mumtaz Qadri Mosque in Athal, as well as the Jamia Mosque at Satrah Meel on Murree Road and the UC-14 TLP complex at Seri Chowk, Phulgran.

Officials stated that the crackdown aims to uphold law and order and ensure all religious and political organizations comply with government regulations. So far, TLP has not issued an official response to the closures.

After recent protest by TLP, FIR Filed Against TLP chief Saad Rizvi Under Terrorism Law
